QR Code Generator

Generate a QR code from any text, link or Wi-Fi string, choose the error-correction level and colours, and download a crisp SVG or high-resolution PNG. The full QR specification is computed in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How it works

Your text is encoded in byte mode, protected with Reed–Solomon error correction, laid out with finder, timing and alignment patterns, then masked for the most reliable scan, the full QR specification, computed in your browser.

Higher error correction lets a code still scan when partly damaged or covered by a logo, at the cost of a denser pattern. The matrix size grows automatically with the amount of data (versions 1–40).

Nothing is uploaded, the QR code is generated entirely on your device.

What this does

A QR code generator turns any text, link, or Wi-Fi string into a QR code, with a choice of error-correction level and colours, and a crisp SVG or high-resolution PNG download.

How to use it

  1. Enter the text or URL.
  2. Pick the error-correction level.
  3. Choose colours.
  4. Download SVG or PNG.

How it works

The matrix grows automatically (versions 1–40) to fit the data. Higher error-correction (Q or H) still scans when partly covered by a logo, at the cost of a denser pattern. Encoded entirely in your browser.

Example

A short URL fits a small version-3 code at error level M.

Frequently asked questions

What can I encode in a QR code?

Any text works, a website URL, plain text, contact details, or a Wi-Fi join string. The matrix size grows automatically (versions 1–40) to fit however much data you enter.

What does the error-correction level do?

Higher levels (Q or H) add redundancy so the code still scans when partly damaged or covered by a logo, at the cost of a denser pattern. L and M pack more data into a smaller code.

Should I download SVG or PNG?

SVG is resolution-independent and ideal for print or further editing; PNG is a ready-to-use image for the web and documents. Both are generated from the same matrix.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The QR code is encoded and rendered entirely in your browser, nothing you type is uploaded to any server.
