The short version: toolcan is a free collection of tools that run in your browser. Use them sensibly, treat results as estimates, and understand that the site is provided "as is." We show third-party ads to keep it free.

1. Accepting these terms

By using toolcan (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. If you use toolcan on behalf of an organization, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

2. What toolcan is

toolcan is a collection of free online calculators, converters, generators, and utilities. Wherever possible, every tool runs entirely in your browser, your inputs and files are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us. See our privacy page for the details.

3. Results are estimates, not professional advice

The tools aim to be accurate and genuinely useful, but their results are estimates and may contain errors. Nothing on the Site is financial, legal, tax, medical, or other professional advice. For anything important, verify the result with a qualified professional. You are responsible for how you use the outputs.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Site for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights;
attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, or reverse-engineer the Site or its infrastructure;
scrape, copy, or republish the Site at scale, or pass it off as your own;
misuse a tool in a way that harms others or breaks applicable law.

5. Advertising

To keep toolcan free, we display ads served by Google AdSense. Google is a third party with its own terms and privacy practices, and may use cookies to serve and measure ads. You control non-essential (ad) cookies through the consent banner and the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer. Our privacy page explains exactly what this involves.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's name, design, text, and original code are owned by toolcan and protected by applicable law. You may use the tools for their intended purpose; you may not copy or redistribute the Site's content as a competing product. Outputs you create with a tool from your own inputs are yours to use.

7. No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, pause, or remove any tool at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, toolcan and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its results. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Site evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
