How it works
Each day's hours are the span from start to end, minus that day's unpaid break. Shifts that end earlier than they start are read as running past midnight. The week's hours are then totalled, and any hours above the overtime threshold are paid at 1.5× the base rate.
Leave the rate at zero to just total hours. Everything is calculated locally in your browser, no times or wages are sent anywhere.

How it works
Hours beyond the weekly threshold (40 by default) are paid at 1.5×. A day whose end is earlier than its start is treated as crossing midnight.

Understanding your result
Hours beyond the weekly threshold are split out at 1.5x, so check the threshold and rate match your contract, since overtime rules differ by employer and region. Unpaid breaks are deducted, so paid hours come out below the clock span, and the pay total is gross, before tax and other deductions.
Example
A 9-to-5 day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch totals 7.5 paid hours.

How are overnight shifts handled?
If a day’s end time is earlier than its start time, the shift is treated as crossing midnight — so 10 PM to 6 AM counts as eight hours, not a negative span.
How is overtime calculated?
Hours worked beyond the weekly overtime threshold (40 by default) are paid at 1.5× the base rate. Set the threshold to 0 to treat every hour as regular.
