Wax is sold by weight, so we turn your vessel volume into a wax weight using the wax's density, allowing for a fill short of the brim:

wax = volume × (fill ÷ 100) × density

fragrance = wax × load ÷ 100  ·  total = (wax + fragrance) × vessels

Densities are typical values, weigh a known volume of your own wax for the best accuracy. Keep fragrance within your wax's rated maximum so it binds properly, and always burn-test a new combination before selling.

How it works

Wax is sold by weight, so volume is converted using the wax density. Most waxes hold 6–10% fragrance; stay within the rated maximum so it binds.

Understanding your result

Wax is sold by weight but vessels are measured by volume, so the density conversion is doing the real work here, and a small overage covers what sticks to the pour pot. Keep fragrance within the rated load (usually 6 to 10 percent) so it binds rather than pooling, and remember different waxes have different throw and shrinkage, so a second top-up pour is often needed.
