Understanding your result
The mark is stamped permanently into every page and cannot be cleanly removed, so always keep an unmarked master copy. A semi-transparent text watermark signals ownership or status and deters casual reuse, but it is a visual deterrent, not security, anyone can still read or copy the text underneath, so use the password tool if you need to actually restrict access.
