Turn order

-

How it works

Combatants are sorted from highest initiative to lowest. When two tie, the higher dexterity (the optional third value) goes first.

Your encounter list never leaves your browser, nothing is uploaded or stored.

What this does

An initiative tracker takes a list of combatants with their initiative rolls and gives the turn order instantly, with an optional dexterity tiebreaker.

How to use it

  1. Add one combatant per line.
  2. Enter name, initiative, and dexterity.
  3. Sort to get the order.
  4. Run the encounter top to bottom.

How it works

Combatants are sorted high to low by initiative; ties go to the higher dexterity value in the optional third field.

Understanding your result

The order is simply highest initiative first, with the optional dexterity field breaking ties so you do not stall on a coin-flip mid-combat. Acting earlier is a real advantage, it lets you control positioning and focus fire before enemies move, so initiative bonuses matter more than their small number suggests.

Example

An 18 beats a 12, and two 15s are split by dexterity.
