Speedrun Timer

Paste your splits to get segment times, the sum of your best segments, and the theoretical best-possible run, plus the time you could save. Calculates in your browser.

Format: name, split time, best segment. Times accept mm:ss, h:mm:ss or plain seconds. Best segment is optional.

Final time

Sum of best segments-
Best possible time-
Time saved if optimal-

How it works

Segment times are the gaps between consecutive split times. The "sum of best" adds your best time for each segment, giving the theoretical best-possible run if everything went perfectly.

time save = final time − sum of best

Your splits never leave your browser, nothing is uploaded or stored.

What this does

A speedrun timer takes your splits and gives segment times, the sum of your best segments, and the theoretical best-possible run, plus the time you could save.

How to use it

  1. Paste your splits.
  2. Use mm:ss, h:mm:ss, or seconds.
  3. Add best segments if known.
  4. Read the sum of best.

How it works

Adding your best time for each segment gives the best-possible run if every segment went perfectly in one attempt.

Understanding your result

The sum-of-best is your theoretical perfect run if every segment went as well as it ever has in one attempt, so it is a ceiling, not a realistic target. The gap between it and your best actual run is your improvement potential, and the segment times point to exactly where that time is hiding, so practise the slow splits rather than rerunning the whole game.

Example

Three segments of 1:00, 2:00, and 1:30 sum to a 4:30 run.
