Good times to call
-
How it works
Each hour of the day is lined up between the two zones using your browser's time-zone database. A slot is a good time to call when it falls inside both your available hours and theirs, accounting for the live offset between the zones.
Times are shown in both people's local clocks so there's no mental arithmetic. Everything runs locally in your browser, nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
What this does
This calculator finds the best time to call someone in another time zone, showing every overlapping slot between two sets of available hours in both local clocks.
How to use it
- Set your available hours.
- Set their available hours.
- Pick both time zones.
- Read the overlapping call slots.
How it works
Each hour is lined up between the two zones using the live offset; a slot counts when it falls inside both your hours and theirs. When zones are far apart, a slot may be tagged “next day” or “prev day”.
Understanding your result
Each highlighted slot falls inside both sets of hours, so it is a time that respects everyone rather than one that merely overlaps while someone is asleep. When zones are far apart the only matches may be early or late and tagged next-day or prev-day, so read those tags before sending an invite and lean toward the slot that is least antisocial for the other person.
Example
With New York 9–5 and Tokyo 9–5, the only overlap is early morning in New York and late evening in Tokyo.

How are good call times found?
Each hour is lined up between the two zones; a slot counts when it falls inside both your available hours and theirs, using the live offset between the zones.
Why is a slot marked “next day” or “prev day”?
When zones are far apart, the same moment can land on a different calendar day for the other person, so the tag shows whose date has rolled over.
Is my data stored?
