How it works
Each zone has an offset from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and many shift it for daylight saving. The difference between two cities is simply the gap between their current offsets, read live from your browser's time-zone database.
Because offsets are read for the current moment, the difference is always correct even right around a daylight-saving change. Everything runs locally in your browser.

How it works
Offsets are read for the current moment from your browser’s time-zone database, so daylight saving on either side is applied automatically and the difference stays correct year-round.

Understanding your result
The difference is read live, so daylight saving on both sides is already applied, which is why the gap can change by an hour for a few weeks each spring and autumn when the two regions switch on different dates. If you are scheduling inside that window, check the actual date rather than assuming the usual offset holds.
